Not ones to mess around when it comes to bike launch videos, Santa Cruz have done it again with the updated Blur launch. It’s testament to a good video when, within the 3mins 43secs of video, we barely get a glimpse of the new bike.
What we do get is a tongue in cheek look at the career of XC racer Maxime Marotte in what I can only describe as a ‘magnificently french’ video. It’s got it all from mime artists and bath time, all the way through to brilliantly literal subtitles (‘the crowd shouts yo’ being a personal favourite).Â
Who knows how effective it is at selling bikes but it has definitely inspired me to go for a hack about the local woods and isn’t that what really matters?
