The Stinky Dreadnought: B&M

A bit of metal, some glorious trails and good riding goes a long way to making a bike video. Buckle up as ‘Big Horse’ flies down some spicy looking trails in BC.

You’ve got to have a bike that can take beating if you’re going to be frolicking down a hill like this. It makes sense then to be riding one named after a battleship. In fact, just having a bike named after a battleship seems to be a good bet regardless of your riding ability.

For too long bike names have fallen into the ‘quite boring’ category combining the travel numbers with a various selection of letters. Kona were ahead of their times with the Stinky, but have fallen down the numbers hole of recent. Not only is the Stinky an iconic bike (did you even ride DH in the UK in the 2000s if you didn’t want or have a Kona Stinky!?), but that name will always be lodged in people’s head once they’ve heard it once.

That’s gotta be worth something right?
