Torridon by Piano: B&M

Off the back of the news that Developing Mountain Biking in Scotland is launching a project to protect everyone’s favourite wilderness, I thought I’d dig out my favourite Torridon edit.

Not only does the video feature top riding and incredible scenery, but it is probably the only mountain bike video in which the rider has composed and performed the accompanying music. Martha’s music complements the riding perfectly and creates a feeling that most bike videos miss out on.

To say I am slightly envious would be an understatement. Having peaked at grade 2 on the piano (I know, watch out Mozart) I can’t comprehend how one goes about composing music. Furthermore, I am certain that I would never be able to ride smooth enough to have piano music accompanying me.

I think if I was going to have an instrument to best sum up my riding it would have to be the drums – reasonably fast but not at all subtle.

(On another note, Martha recently had two bikes stolen so keep your eyes peeled)
