Let’s be honest, mountain biking ain’t cheap. But if there’s one thing that is more expensive than just mountain biking, it’s breaking into the competitive circuit in your chosen discipline of mountain biking.
That’s why it’s great to see the Gowaan Girls (Bex Baraona and Martha Gill) lending a helping hand to Robin Goomes, a hugely skilled, up and coming slope style rider.
Speaking of helping hands, Wyn Masters may be down and out after a crash in Maribor, but that doesn’t mean his privateer award is. With support coming in from a few different brands, Wyn is able to give €2000 to help out some of the privateer’s who make the sport what it is.
This week the money went to Lachie Stevens-McNab (3rd in junior mens) to help with the unenviable and costly affair that is returning to NZ at the end of the season. Nice one Wyn.
