Boris is one of the colourful characters of the mountain bike scene; he lives up to his nickname, Maddog Boris. But Beyer’s wild outward image conceals a hard-working photographer whose personal drive to capture timeless moments in mountain biking has led to some of the recent standout photographs of the sport.

Once deskbound with an office job, Boris finally took the plunge, packed it in and decided to follow mountain biking around the world. The gamble worked out: he has carved a living taking photos of the sport he loves and following the scene of which he is an integral part.

Kadefest

As Boris didn’t have any clients to shoot for, he had the freedom just to play around, so he used the 35mm and hid far away from the jumps. It turned out that he captured this striking silhouette of Kade’s unique style.
Blenkinstyle
From £30
Sometimes all you need is a bit of luck. A rider came down just in front of Blenki and threw up some dust; the light was perfect and Blenki’s unique style just made this shot what it is.
Cutting it Fine
