Through the Door is a semi-regular feature where we show you new stuff that lands in our office. We haven’t extensively tested any of this stuff, but we think it’s worth a look.

HUNT Enduro V3 Wheels – Fresh goods

FIRST GLANCE

HUNT’s Enduro V3 wheels have just rolled through the door here at Misspent Summers.

Wheels are supposed to be round. However, as a collective, we mountain bikers will seemingly do everything within our power to make sure they do not remain that shape. Shralping corners, flat landing, casing the absolute life out of jumps, choosing questionable rock garden lines or simply and unconsciously seeking out every square edge on the trail.

Now, if you’re like me and are guilty of a few of these on-trail crimes (to paraphrase Rob Warner, if anyone knows a good lawyer, please get in touch), then you’ll probably want a wheelset that can take a beating without immediately turning into modern art.

HUNT reckons the Enduro V3 might just be that wheel and says they have spent three years testing them. That means being hammered in the sort of riding that usually ends in broken spokes, dented rims and taco references under riders like Tyler McCaul, Lachlan Blair, Joe Connell and The Firm, with the real-world experiences backed up by what they describe as extensive lab testing.

With a three-year warranty and what sounds like some proper clever engineering put into them, these wheels may well remain as circular as they were when they came out of the box.

Shame really. I was banking on at least one of them becoming wall art by now – especially given how poor my riding is.
