From Junior World Champion to changing a tyre for the first time in fifteen years, Laurie Greenland is taking a breather. Bedding down in the mountains of southern Aoeteroa, he’s looking back on his career so far and dreaming about what’s next: “There’s a lot to explore.”
“I feel like I owe it to myself and other people to show that it’s ok to take some time if you need it,” Laurie says, as he taps back into the freedom he first felt on a bike as a kid, dreaming of becoming a World Cup racer. “I’m super grateful for childhood Loz for conjuring up dreams and making it happen…it’s kind of the first time I’ve let myself be proud of where I’ve come and of what’s happened.”
