This is the fifth episode of an eight-part docu-series that takes a closer look behind the scenes of the 2025 UCI Enduro World Cup season. Think Drive to Survive, but for enduro mountain bike racing – and that’s exactly what it is. It’s brilliant.
In this episode of Grit and Glory, the Enduro World Cup returns to Leogang, Austria – a venue steeped in mountain bike racing history. Long renowned for hosting legendary Downhill World Cups, Leogang has more recently delivered some great enduro battles. Its blend of janky, rocky tracks and fast, flowing bike park berms creates a diverse set of stages that push every rider’s adaptability and skill to the limit.
21-year-old Scottish window cleaner William Brodie rides the race of his life, earning the best result of his career so far, while Jesse Melamed hunts for his first victory since 2023. On the women’s side, a fierce battle between Ella Conolly and Simona Kuchyňková produces some of the most thrilling racing of the season, while Morgane Charre falls victim to the treacherous conditions – bringing her season to an early end. Catch up on Episode 4 here.
‘The pressure builds in Leogang as Jesse Melamed searches for the form that once made him unstoppable. Among the factory teams, privateer William Brodie turns heads — racing out of his van and mixing it with the sport’s biggest names.
