Hello,

Italy’s Dolomite mountains tower up around Val di Fassa, the venue for this weekend’s first-ever Enduro MTB World Championships.

It’s an impressive setting made even more dramatic by the coating of snow from the wintry weather of the last few days.

Regardless of the conditions, and as Enrico Guala noted in his event-opening speech on Friday, enduro can deal with a bit of adversity – the show continues.

Racing (enduro and e-enduro) is tomorrow, Sunday 15 September.*

We’ll be back with a post-race report, photos by Boris and Sven, and full notes after the race. In the meantime, you’ll find some useful links and numbers below.

Cheers,

James

*The race was planned for Saturday, but early this week, with snow forecast on Thursday and Friday, it was moved to Sunday; three of the five race stages start a bit lower than planned. Bravo to the organisers for planning a contingency day (and making everyone aware of it) from the start
